Import a Server

Prepare the old server

Collect its host, port, username, password or SSH key, and exact source folder. Confirm the old provider permits SFTP, FTP, or SCP access. Create a fresh backup there if possible.

Connect and copy

  1. Stop the destination server.
  2. Open Importer.
  3. Choose SFTP, FTP, or SCP.
  4. Enter the source address, port, username, and password or SSH key.
  5. Add the host-key fingerprint when you have it.
  6. Select Test Connection.
  7. Browse the source and choose the files or folder to copy.
  8. Select the destination path on the Haven server.
  9. Start the import and leave the destination stopped until it finishes.
  10. Check the copied files, startup variables, and Console before removing the old server.

Wipe server before import deletes the destination’s existing files. Back up anything you need and confirm you selected the correct server.

Saved connection profiles are useful for repeated transfers. Remove a saved profile after the migration if its credentials are no longer needed.
