Snipe Troubleshooting

  • If snipes are empty, confirm Message Content intent and channel visibility.
  • If attachments are missing, check whether Discord attachment URLs were available when the message was captured.
  • If regular users can run the command, tighten the configured permissions.
  • If old messages disappear quickly, increase the configured cache or retention values if available.

General Checks

  • Confirm the plugin folder name and generated config names match the table on the overview page.
  • Check AthenaBot startup logs for config load failures.
  • Verify the bot role is above any role it needs to manage.
  • Confirm channel IDs, role IDs, and user IDs are from the same Discord server.
  • If dashboard config is enabled, confirm the dashboard value is not overriding the local JSON5 file.
