Event System Troubleshooting

  • If event messages post in the wrong place, check configured channel IDs.
  • If staff cannot create events, confirm permission keys and role mappings.
  • If controls do not work, restart the bot and verify the plugin loaded without config errors.
  • If event text is wrong, update event-lang strings.

General Checks

  • Confirm the plugin folder name and generated config names match the table on the overview page.
  • Check AthenaBot startup logs for config load failures.
  • Verify the bot role is above any role it needs to manage.
  • Confirm channel IDs, role IDs, and user IDs are from the same Discord server.
  • If dashboard config is enabled, confirm the dashboard value is not overriding the local JSON5 file.
