Set Up a Reverse Proxy
Use Reverse Proxy for an HTTP or HTTPS service such as a dashboard or web application. It does not replace a normal game-server port and is not a proxy for arbitrary TCP or UDP traffic.
Add a domain
- Confirm the web application is running and listening on a server allocation.
- Open Reverse Proxy and select Add Domain.
- Enter the domain or subdomain.
- Select the target allocation and an SSL mode.
- Create the proxy.
- At your DNS provider, create the A record shown by the panel.
- Wait for DNS to resolve, then select Verify DNS & Activate.
On Cloudflare, keep the record set to DNS only during verification and SSL setup. Test Cloudflare proxying only after the origin works directly.
SSL modes
- None: HTTP only.
- Flexible: HTTPS to the visitor but an unencrypted origin connection.
- Full: Encrypts the origin connection without requiring a publicly trusted origin certificate.
- Strict: Encrypts the origin connection and requires a valid certificate at the origin.
If verification fails
- Confirm the hostname has exactly the A record shown by the panel.
- Remove conflicting A or AAAA records for the same hostname.
- Confirm the application is running on the selected allocation and port.
- Disable CDN proxying until activation finishes.
- Allow time for DNS caches to refresh.
