TicketOpenRoles Setup

Before You Start

  • Source-backed docs were generated from the local plugin source and JSON5 templates.
  • Plugin entry: main.js
  • Config templates: en-ticket_open_roles.json5, en-ticket_open_roles_lang.json5

Setup Steps

  1. Enable the core and tickets plugins first.
  2. Install the ticket_open_roles plugin folder and confirm its config and language files are generated.
  3. Set roles_by_type for category-specific roles or default_role_id for one shared open-ticket role.
  4. Add blacklisted or whitelisted ticket types only if some categories should be ignored.
  5. Give staff permission for the ticketopenroles sync command.
  6. Run the sync command once after setup and open a test ticket to confirm the role is added and removed.

First Test

Use a private staff test channel or a staging Discord server first. Confirm the plugin loads without config errors, run the safest command or trigger, and then check the configured output channel, role change, or stored state.
