Role Nicknames Setup

Before You Start

  • Source-backed docs were generated from the local plugin source and JSON5 templates.
  • Plugin entry: main.js
  • Config templates: en-rolenicknames.json5

Setup Steps

  1. Install and enable rolenicknames.
  2. Define role-to-nickname rules in config.
  3. Move the bot role above members it should rename.
  4. Apply a test role to a test member.
  5. Confirm the nickname updates and reverts according to config.

First Test

Use a private staff test channel or a staging Discord server first. Confirm the plugin loads without config errors, run the safest command or trigger, and then check the configured output channel, role change, or stored state.
