Role Nicknames Troubleshooting

• If nicknames do not change, check Manage Nicknames permission and role hierarchy.
• If the wrong format applies, review rule order.
• If staff nicknames should not change, add bypass rules if available.
• If updates are delayed, restart and test a fresh role change.

General Checks

• Confirm the plugin folder name and generated config names match the table on the overview page.
• Check AthenaBot startup logs for config load failures.
• Verify the bot role is above any role it needs to manage.
• Confirm channel IDs, role IDs, and user IDs are from the same Discord server.
• If dashboard config is enabled, confirm the dashboard value is not overriding the local JSON5 file.
