Confession Troubleshooting

  • If submissions fail, check confession channel ID and modal/command registration.
  • If reveal buttons do not work, confirm the permission bypass and staff permission config.
  • If users can spam submissions, increase cooldown settings.
  • If anonymity text is unclear, edit confession-lang.

General Checks

  • Confirm the plugin folder name and generated config names match the table on the overview page.
  • Check AthenaBot startup logs for config load failures.
  • Verify the bot role is above any role it needs to manage.
  • Confirm channel IDs, role IDs, and user IDs are from the same Discord server.
  • If dashboard config is enabled, confirm the dashboard value is not overriding the local JSON5 file.
