Automate Tasks with Schedules

  1. Open Schedules and select Create Schedule.
  2. Name it clearly and choose when it should run.
  3. Enable Only when server is online when an offline server should be skipped.
  4. Create the schedule, then add one or more tasks.

A task can send a command, change the server’s power state, or create a backup. Add delays so the previous action can finish. A safe restart sequence might announce the restart, wait five minutes, stop, wait, and then start.

Run the schedule manually while watching Console. Confirm every task works before relying on it unattended.

Common uses include a daily backup, a planned restart with a warning, or a maintenance command during quiet hours. Schedules cannot bypass plan resource or backup limits.
