Use the Network Tab
Key terms
- Allocation: An IP address or hostname and port reserved for the server.
- Primary allocation: The default address displayed for the server.
- Additional allocation: Another assigned port for a plugin, query service, voice service, or second application.
- Label: A private note describing what an allocation is used for.
Open Network to copy an address, add a label, make an eligible allocation primary, request another allocation when the plan permits, or remove an unused extra allocation.
Changing the primary allocation does not rewrite an application’s config file. If the application stores a port in its config or startup variables, update that value and restart it.
You cannot use an arbitrary port simply by entering it in a plugin. The port must appear as an allocation in the panel. Add or request an allocation first, then place that assigned number in the application configuration.
