AFK Troubleshooting

  • If AFK does not clear, confirm message events and Message Content intent.
  • If mentions do not trigger, check bot channel visibility.
  • If users spam AFK changes, increase cooldowns.
  • If responses are too noisy, tune mention behavior in config.

General Checks

  • Confirm the plugin folder name and generated config names match the table on the overview page.
  • Check AthenaBot startup logs for config load failures.
  • Verify the bot role is above any role it needs to manage.
  • Confirm channel IDs, role IDs, and user IDs are from the same Discord server.
  • If dashboard config is enabled, confirm the dashboard value is not overriding the local JSON5 file.
